** My thoughts on the NBA Finals!
By Lamar Webster
It’s CLEAR the NBA wanted The Spurs to win the title, and they want Wemby as their new face of the league. But HE should have been tagged with at least 4 flagrant fouls, and suspended for a game, according to the league rules.
1st Kudos to Brunson. He left $100 million on the table, for the Knicks to be able to get other players to round out the team. His trust in the organization paid off in a championship 16-3 play-off run for the Knicks. (Ok Browns take a note of this move).
All of this ‘flopping’ and trying to get fouls, is not gonna cut it. I am beginning to not like OKC because of their style of play. I am glad they did not repeat, but the Spurs please, do not feed into that style of play.
The Spurs lack of a point guard as a leader, hurt them bad. CP3 could have calmed them down. For The Spurs to be up by 10 point leads in the 4th quarter, in all of their games they lost, proves this point. Fox is not the answer, he shoots too much for me.
Besides Fox, the other reason the Spurs lost, is Castle. He only had two points, maybe he wore down and was tired. His scoring was sorely missed. A rookie him and Harper will get better with time.
Wemby, you shoot outside to much, you need some post up moves like yesterday, and bulk up over the summer. 25 or 30 extra pounds will do you good.
I do commend the league for overturning some non-calls in a game, to be over-turned when the Refs missed them, during games.
All in all, the NBA play-offs were
exciting, and truly the two best teams prevailed. OKC had injuries so they would not have won, the Spurs and Knicks were the best the league had this year. The Knicks, were a team of destiny. The Spurs are up and coming!
Congrats to the Finals Champs, The NY Knicks!
