rivalry. I watched the game while building a shelf today, and haven’t been out, but I’m sure his widow must be flying his flag tonight.

Penn State answered with a field goal, narrowing the gap to 21-17. However, Oregon’s offense was relentless. On their next drive, Irving broke free for a dazzling 55-yard touchdown run, weaving through Penn State defenders to extend the lead to 28-17.
Just before halftime, Penn State showed resilience. Allar found Theo Johnson for a 25-yard touchdown pass, sending the teams into the locker room with Oregon holding a 28-24 lead.
The Ducks started the second halwith authority. Their opening drive featured a balanced mix of runs and passes, with Nix connecting with Franklin again for a 15-yard touchdown. Oregon’s defense then stepped up, forcing a Penn State three-and-out.
Oregon capitalized on the defensive stop, with Camden Lewis drilling a 47-yard field goal to push the lead to 38-24. Penn State attempted to rally, with Allar leading a promising drive, but a crucial interception by Oregon cornerback Khyree Jackson halted their momentum.

However, Oregon’s defense rose to the occasion. On a critical fourth-and-five near midfield, Allar’s pass fell incomplete under heavy pressure from linebacker Mase Funa, sealing the Ducks’ victory.
Bo Nix was named the game’s MVP, finishing with 375 passing yards, 4 total touchdowns (3 passing, 1 rushing), and zero turnovers. Troy Franklin and Tez Johnson were pivotal in the receiving game, combining for over 200 yards and two touchdowns. Bucky Irving added 110 rushing yards and a score, while the defense forced two crucial turnovers.
For Penn State, Allar threw for 320 yards and three touchdowns, while Singleton tallied over 150 total yards and two touchdowns. Despite their efforts, the Nittany Lions couldn’t overcome Oregon’s offensive firepower and timely defensive stops.
