Rams Unveil New SoFi Stadium Food, Drinks, and Merchandise Ahead of 2025 Home Opener
As you undoubtedly already know – the Rams walked away with a hard-fought “W” on their home opener against the Houston Texans.
That being said, ahead of the game, the Rams kicked off their 2025 season at SoFi Stadium by hosting a special media tasting event this week, offering a first look at new food, beverage, and merchandise options for fans. The preview, held Wednesday, September 3, celebrated the return of football while highlighting the stadium’s growing reputation as one of the premier culinary and entertainment destinations in professional sports.
The showcase featured an array of international-inspired dishes prepared by SoFi Stadium’s in-house culinary team. Among the chefs in attendance were Regional Executive Chef Robert Biebrich, Sous Chef Julio Manzo, Pastry Chef Tracy Felipe, and Chef de Cuisine Albert Marquez. Together, they presented a menu designed to reflect Los Angeles’ rich cultural diversity while elevating traditional stadium fare into a restaurant-quality experience.

Media guests sampled beef empanadas with a golden, flaky crust; barbecue grilled street corn seasoned with a smoky spice blend; herb-crusted tomahawk steaks sliced and served in generous portions; and a dessert spread that included funnel cakes, haupia tarts, and fruit-based heart tarts. According to chefs, the goal was to combine comfort foods that resonate with longtime football fans while offering adventurous flavors for younger and more globally minded audiences.
“Los Angeles is a city where food culture thrives,” said Chef Biebrich, noting that SoFi Stadium has worked to reflect the city’s international character in its concessions. “We want fans to come hungry and know that they’ll have an experience that goes beyond the game.” So, as I nibbled my way through some of the cultural favorites – sushi, burgers, chicken fingers, a delicious Pollo Asado Bowl, and some mac and cheese, I never did come across any potato salad or a mess of greens. I did mention it to Steve, who laughingly handed me a piece of chocolate fudge cake to ease my pain.
The tasting also highlighted SoFi Stadium’s upgraded beverage program. For the Tea Toddlers, and caffeine cravers, a fresh pot of coffee is readily at hand while a full spectrum of beers, from craft brews to lighter gameday staples, will be available throughout the concourses, alongside curated selections of vodka, tequila, and whiskey. Specialty cocktails are also being introduced this season, part of an effort to provide fans with the same level of service they would expect at a top-tier bar or restaurant.
Fans in attendance reacted enthusiastically to the new offerings, with many noting how SoFi
continues to set a new standard for stadium dining. “That tomahawk steak is wild for a football game,” one fan marveled while another joked that, “This is why you show up before kickoff it’s the balance between classic items like funnel cake and more ambitious additions such as the haupia tart, a Hawaiian-inspired coconut custard dessert.
The culinary preview was not the only attraction. Attendees also got an early look at new Rams merchandise for the 2025 season. Updated jerseys, hoodies, and caps featuring refreshed team branding were displayed, alongside limited-edition collectibles available only at SoFi Stadium’s team store. The release comes at a time when merchandise sales have become an increasingly important part of the gameday experience, with fans eager to show off their loyalty both in the stands and online.
For the Rams organization, the event was as much about creating buzz as it was about giving fans a reason to arrive early and enjoy the full stadium experience. With the NFL season drawing global attention, particularly in major markets like Los Angeles, the competition is no longer just about what happens on the field. It extends to how teams create memorable, all-encompassing events that encourage repeat attendance.
National outlets have noted how stadium food culture has evolved across the league in recent years. From smoked brisket nachos in Kansas City to crab cakes in Baltimore, teams have leaned into local culinary traditions to build a stronger connection with their fan bases. SoFi Stadium, however, has attempted to take things further by blending multiple international influences into a single menu, a move that reflects Los Angeles’ role as one of the most multicultural cities in the United States.
Ahead of Sunday’s opener, anticipation for the Rams’ season is running high. On platforms like TikTok and X, fans have been sharing predictions for the matchup against the Texans, debating quarterback play, and exchanging game-day outfit ideas that feature the newly released merchandise. For many, the food and merchandise announcements add to the excitement, turning the first home game into a full-scale event rather than just another Sunday of football.
For the chefs, though, the work is just beginning. The tasting represented months of preparation, testing, and refinement to ensure dishes could be served quickly and consistently to tens of thousands of fans on gameday. The stadium expects to serve thousands of plates of street corn, empanadas, and desserts during the opener alone, a logistical feat that requires precision and teamwork behind the scenes.
As Los Angeles readies for the return of NFL football, the Rams are betting that their investment in elevated stadium experiences will resonate with fans. Whether it’s the herb-crusted tomahawk steak, a cold craft beer, or a brand-new jersey from the team store, the organization is positioning SoFi Stadium not only as a place to watch football but also as a destination for food, culture, and community.
The first test comes this Sunday, when tens of thousands of fans stream into Inglewood to watch the
Rams face the Texans. If the response to Wednesday’s tasting is any indication, many of them will be showing up hungry.
Just a side note for the fans of the Rams’ roommates, the Los Angeles Chargers – On any given Sunday, some but not necessarily all of the culinary fare is shared between the two groups of fans, frequenting SoFi Stadium.
