RAMS and Partners Spread Surprise Holiday Cheer
On December 15, 2025, the Los Angeles Rams carried out one of the final community activities of their annual “Season of Giving” campaign with a large-scale bicycle donation at Frank D. Parent K–8 School in Inglewood. In partnership with Bank of America and Rams Legend Andrew Whitworth, the organization provided more than 300 brand-new bicycles—ensuring that every student enrolled at the campus received one.
The mid-December event took place during the school day and was structured as a surprise celebration for students. According to information shared by the Rams and widely reflected in crowd-sourced social media posts afterward, the moment of the reveal became a focal point of the day. Students gathered on campus were met by Rams staff, Whitworth, and the team’s mascot,
Rampage, before learning that each child would be receiving a bicycle of their own. Social media posts from parents, school staff, and community members emphasized the excitement of the students and the visible impact of the gesture, particularly for families for whom recreational equipment can be difficult to afford.
The donation was made possible through a collaboration with Bank of America and included bicycles sourced through Walmart, aligning with the Rams’ stated goal of pairing corporate partnerships with direct community benefit. The initiative highlighted physical activity, youth wellness, and access to safe recreation—key themes that have consistently appeared in the Rams’ outreach programming in Inglewood and surrounding communities.
Andrew Whitworth’s involvement was a central element of the event. A Super Bowl LVI Champion with the Rams and the 2021 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year, Whitworth has developed a reputation for hands-on participation in youth-focused charitable efforts. Crowd-sourced posts and local commentary noted that Whitworth interacted directly with students, posed for photos, and helped distribute bikes alongside school staff and volunteers. His presence reinforced the personal nature of the donation, moving it beyond a ceremonial appearance and into an interactive school-wide experience.

This event also continued a pattern established earlier in Whitworth’s post-playing career. He has previously organized and supported large-scale bicycle giveaways across the Los Angeles area, including a widely referenced 2017 effort that delivered nearly 600 bicycles to students at Grape Street Elementary School. Social media commentary surrounding the Parent K–8 School event frequently referenced this history, framing the December 2025 giveaway as part of a sustained commitment rather than a one-time appearance.
The Rams’ “Season of Giving” campaign, presented by Bank of America, typically includes multiple initiatives during the holiday period, several of which are open to the media. The Parent K–8 School bike giveaway served as one of the concluding activations for the 2025 campaign. Posts shared by attendees and observers noted the logistical coordination required to distribute bicycles to hundreds of students within a limited timeframe, as well as the involvement of school administrators who helped manage the event on campus.
From a broader community perspective, the donation resonated strongly in Inglewood, a city that has
seen increased attention from professional sports organizations in recent years. Online reactions highlighted appreciation for efforts that directly reach students and families, rather than remaining abstract or promotional. While the event was intentionally kept confidential beforehand to preserve the surprise, its aftermath was widely shared and celebrated across local and regional social media channels.
By providing every student at Parent K–8 School with a bicycle, the Rams, Bank of America, and Andrew Whitworth delivered a tangible and lasting resource. The December 15 event closed the Rams’ 2025 “Season of Giving” with a visible demonstration of community engagement, youth support, and continuity in philanthropic outreach.
